Stronghold Digital Mining will acquire 9,080 Bitcoin mining machines: Jinse Finance reported that Stronghold Digital Mining said in a document that it is purchasing 9,080 Bitmain and MicroBT mining machines to increase its hash rate by about 826 petahashes/s (PH/s). The Pennsylvania-based company has inked four separate deals since releasing its third-quarter results on Nov. 30, the filings show. 4,800 mining rigs are expected to be delivered by the end of this year or early January at a total cost of $35.7 million. It said it bought another 4280 units under a profit-sharing arrangement with Northern Data. Delivery will be in the first half of 2022.

The bitcoin miner said it also signed an equipment financing agreement with investment firm NYDIG on Dec. 15 for as much as $54 million. The deal is secured by the purchase of 12,000 S19j Pro Antminers from Bitmain, and Stronghold has received an upfront payment of $18.6 million. (Coindesk) [2021/12/20 7:51:55]
